Hub Community Development Organization (HCDO) is dedicated to empowering communities in Kenya through sustainable development, education, and livelihood programs. We partner with local leaders to build healthier, more resilient communities.
Seven programmes, designed with local leaders.
We visit schools, offer mentorship, provide basic learning materials, and walk with children from vulnerable backgrounds. Our long-term hope is to help build a school that gives quality education and real opportunity to children who need it most.
Through our feeding programmes, we provide nutritional support to children and vulnerable community members in local schools and churches. A simple meal can improve a child’s health, energy, and ability to learn.
This is an emergency response programme that provides immediate safety and support to women and girls fleeing gender-based violence in Kangemi and the surrounding communities.

Meshack Mulombi
Growing up in Kangemi, Meshack witnessed both the resilience of his community and the challenges it faces every day — poverty, youth with dreams but no opportunities, and families searching for hope.
Boniface Muema
Growing up and living in Machakos county I was raised in a poor family and my parents struggled alot, after completing my high school studies I went to Nairobi county at kangemi village have seen firsthand both the strength of our people and the struggles they face and poverty, youth without opportunities, and families in need of hope and support.
Mary Oside
Originally from Vihiga County, Mary has called Kangemi home for over two decades. Her long-standing connection to the community has given her a deep appreciation of the everyday challenges, aspirations and resilience of the people our orgnization serves. Having lived within the community for so many years, she understands the importance of initiatives that create meaningful opportunities, strengthen livelihoods and improve the well-being of families.
Leonard Kisato
He serves as the Operations Manager at Hub Community Development Organization, where he is at the centre of the organisation's day-to-day activities, ensuring that its programmes, teams and operational responsibilities work together effectively.
Every child deserves a place to learn, grow and build a future they can be proud of.
Yet access to quality education can be shaped by circumstances a child has no control over. A family's financial situation should never be the reason a child's potential goes undiscovered.
We believe education should be an opportunity available to every child, not a privilege enjoyed by a few.
That belief inspires our long-term vision of establishing a school in Kangemi: a place where children can learn in a supportive environment, discover their abilities and pursue their dreams.
We know that building a school takes more than a vision. It takes land, planning, resources, partnerships and a community willing to believe in what is possible.
Our first step is to secure the land on which this dream can stand. From there, we hope to build towards a learning environment that gives children more opportunities to shape their own futures.
We are not simply dreaming of building a school. We are working towards building a future in which every child has a fair chance to succeed.
A school begins with a piece of land. Its true value, however, is measured in the lives it helps transform.
